Big Lakes County is host to numerous indoor recreational adventures. As a partner with the Town of High Prairie in the High Prairie & District Regional Recreation Board, the County aims to provide quality facilities for a wide array of interests and age groups. Facilities include: skating rinks, a performing arts centre, curling rinks, a bowling alley and an indoor aquatic centre. The region also includes several privately operated indoor gyms (outfitted with weights and group classes) and numerous community hall facilities.
Enilda Bowling Alley
The Enilda Bowling Alley is a great place to spend an evening or celebrate a special event. The alley hosts adult, youth, and senior leagues.

High Prairie Regional Aquatic Centre
The aquatic center hosts a 5-lane competitive pool, waterslide facilities, kids play area, and zero depth entry. The aqautic center is serviced to meet your fitness needs with both deep and shallow water pool fitness classes. The water fitness classes provide aerobic conditioning, strength and toning, and stretching routines to provide a well-rounded exercise program for swimmers and non-swimmers alike. In addition to fitness classes the aquatic center is available for pool rentals for parties or group gatherings as well as provides various levels of certified swimming lessons under the Red Cross Program.

Sports Palace/ Gordon Buchanan Centre
The Sports Palace/ Gordon Buchanan Recreation Centre houses two ideal indoor ice rinks. The rinks are available to the community for hockey and skating in the fall/ winter and removed in the spring/ summer for tradeshows and events.
The Gordon Buchanan Recreation Centre also includes a state of the art Performing Arts Auditorium with a generous seating capacity of 269.
