Connecting the western end of Lesser Slave Lake to the Peace River, the Grouard-Peace River Trail was originally used by Aboriginal peoples and later became well trodden with missionaries, gold-seekers, traders, and homesteaders. The trail is currently rebuilt around Hilliard's Bay Provincial Park through to Police Point Natural Area with extensions east and northwest planned for the future.  The Grouard-Peace River Trail is part of the Trans-Canada Trail network and can be used for walking, cycling, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing.

Swan Hills Snowmobile Trail Systems

The Swan Hills Snow Goers club has developed a Snowmobile Trail Network in the Swan Hills area of the County (southern tip). The Trail System connects to the Whitecourt and Fox Creek System to create The Golden Triangle snowmobile trail.
