    The rain and cooler temperatures have improved the wildfire situation. The Fire Ban and Off-Highway Vehicle Restriction has been lifted for the Forest Protection Area in the Slave Lake Forest Area.
    The Town of Slave Lake, Town of High Prairie, and Big Lakes County have also lifted their Fire Ban and Off-Highway Vehicle Restriction.
    Firefighters thank you for doing your part to prevent wildfires.

    The overall wildfire danger is MODERATE for the Slave Lake Forest Area.

    Order by the C.A.O. of Big Lakes County.  Highway Order No. 2018-02 Defining Maximum Allowable Weights permitted on certain County Roads Pursuant to the Authority granted by the Minister of Transportation Under the Traffic Safety Act and By-Law #41-2007, the Chief Administrative Officer Orders that effective 8:00 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2018.
     
    Percentage Axle Weights for Highways are:

    None   All Road Bans have been removed  

    This order rescinds Highway Order No. 2018-01 and shall remain in effect until further notice.
